A chic, yet family-friendly Apulian retreat
A chic, yet family-friendly Apulian retreat
A stunning, newly-built, five-bedroom villa sleeping twelve, set on two hectares of land, dotted with 101 century-old olive trees, pomegranate and other fruit trees. Come enjoy the luxury of relaxing under them.
We have a beautiful heated pool and an original Lithuanian wood-fired hot tub to keep you warm in the colder months....
Both will make you think twice before wanting to leave this little corner of paradise, whatever the season....
A hot outdoor shower and full bathroom next to the swimming area, so you shouldn't need to go in the villa at all during the long, lazy summer days that we hope you'll spend at Casa Tonini. A luxury holiday starts with the small things.
Outdoor kitchen (with fridge, wine cooler and dishwasher), where you will likely spend the vast majority of your time. Our idea of a relaxing villa holiday begins with comfortably making good food and enjoying it with the people we love. See full description of what we offer in the attached About Casa Tonini file.
We do not have a restaurant, but we can put you in touch with some fantastic, yet very reasonably priced chefs, who will prepare your special Apulian, Asian or Vegan/ Vegetarian meal on demand. Please see attached menu options below.
Yoga in the midst of centennial olive trees is pure luxury, and a special relaxing treat. We can arrange Hatha, Raja, Iyengar, Vinyasa or Ashtanga yoga lessons and retreats. Also available are massages, reiki and other treatments. Please see attached teacher bios and lesson descriptions below.
The Natural Park of the Coastal Sand Dunes is the perfect place to go for a hack, if you enjoy taking your horse for a canter along the beach. This can only be arranged from October and until May. Taking a bike on to the antique roman road Via Traiana, all the way to Brindisi, can instead be done all year round.
Upon request we offer soap-,cocktail-, pasta- and honey-making classes; bread-, meat-, wine-, mozzarella- and oil-tasting tours and cooking classes. Please enquire with at least two weeks' notice.
We love to give advice on places to see, beach clubs, aperitivi/bar and restaurants to try. Please take a look at the Places we love tab.
We can arrange day trips including hiking, cycling and boating, foodie treks and underground cave trips as well as archaeology tours....you name it! Also airport transfers, sitters and anything else that might make your stay more relaxing. Please ask.
This service is 25€ (plus the cost of your shopping) payable in cash upon arrival
We are mostly asked to buy milk, fruit and veg, bread and biscuits, taralli and friselle, pasta, coffee, cereals, cheese, butter, honey, eggs, yogurt, juices and jam, but we will endeavour to find anything else you might need. Please note that supermarkets in the area mainly sell in-season produce. We can of course recommend where to shop.
The water in the house is filtered and safe to drink. You will find sugar, salt, pepper, all soaps and dishwasher tablets in the house.
Simply fantastic home to stay in (we stayed for a month), which I can’t recommend highly enough. A great layout for families and families sharing, with two bedrooms on one side of the house and two on the other (with one great room for four kids), plus a another room out in the trullo. It always felt spacious. Exceptionally well furnished and equipped, with two great kitchens, a beautiful pool in the centre of the spaces, generous bedrooms each with working spaces and all with en suite bathrooms. Beautifully peaceful area, out in the countryside but only 10 minutes from both Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica. Highly recommended.
This place is truly a slice of heaven and I would highly recommend staying here. We were a group of 9 - 7 adults and 2 kids, and the space was perfect. The kids had fun playing in the pool and trampoline . The kitchen was well stocked so we enjoyed cooking and using the outdoor dining area. We also really loved the fire pit. The beds were so comfy, the space is beautifully decorated, and Clio was really helpful and communicated well. It's about a 12 minute drive into town and close to highlights such as Ostuni, Locorotondo, and more. We truly had an amazing vacation here and it is perfect for a group and for kids.
Stayed at Casa Tonini with a group of friends and it genuinely felt like we stumbled upon a little piece of Italian magic. The villa comfortably fit all of us, and having a traditional trulli on-site was a cool touch. The absolute highlight was having a local Italian chef whip up lunch for us in the garden - it was as authentic and delicious as it gets. The pool and outdoor shower were bonuses. A memorable stay for sure. Would recommend to anyone wanting to experience a unique Italian getaway!
